One time when I was in the second grade of catholic school
we took pieces of string, one at a time, and dipped them
in different color paints & splashed them across the art paper.
Mine turned out so good, I won 1st prize in the art show. My
parents were so proud and of course, I was thrilled. I was 7
years old. I still have it, framed with a border around it & and
the blue ribbon beside it. I'm 47 now, so I've had that baby for
40 years now. Wow!! Has it been that long. Sheesh, I'm
getting old. RFL @ myself.
Great question!
Have a great day.

A little squarish polished jasper pebble that I picked out of someone's rock collection as a gift to take home when I was three years old. I still have it tucked into a corner of my jewelry box.
Interestingly enough, 44 years later I am a jewelry designer and amateur geologist, and one of the stones I work best with is autumn jasper. :-) Both the woman's kind generosity and the "treasure" feeling I got from the stone had a lot to do with that, I suspect.

I like your question.
I am one of the "keeper" people, not necessarily a pack rat, but a keeper. I have been wearing the same "Philmont" belt buckle for thirty years(third belt but same buckle), I still have the first pocket knife that I got when I was a kid (about 37 years) in my pocket. First present to me from my girlfriend who later became my wife (twenty five years) These three are the most significant of several.

a pair of jeans I wore painting this weekend they're 15 years old and still fit, actually they are bigger on me now than 15 years ago. I almost pissed my pants, when I realized how old they were. I didn't wear them often so they're not in that bad a shape down at the cuffs they're all torn and ripped up they've always been a little long on me so I'd walk on them.
