Why should they? However, I have know PLENTY of christians that hate jews. Not saying they all do, but there are many that do. On the other hand, I can honestly say that I have never met a buddhist, jew, or hindu that said they hated another religion. What does that tell you?

"I believe in tolerance, I believe that we can all coexist - but in order to coexist, we need to learn to respect each other" That is admirable. Now try reading the sira and see if mohammed agrees with you. John @Life Love: Thank you for your respoinse. As I said; read the sira by ibn ishaq. I have suggested you do nothing more. If you believe that this biography is biased, then I would suggest you disagree with probably 90% of islamic scholars. The biography by Ibn Ishaq is the closest compiled sira to the actual life of mohammed which still exists and ibn ishaq himself is well-respected amongst the great majority of both past and current times. In fact, his biography is often found in Mosque libraries. He was also an avid collector of authentic hadith and was extremely selective as to what to include in his sira. In many cases you will find that he qualifies things when he is not sure if something was true or not. Now, what more could you ask for ? I don't think you could construe this as my suggesting that you read 'bias' material. In fact, you would be reading a sira which is mostly approved by many islamic authorities. I maintain my suggestion that you read this sira (available from Amazon) with an open and rational mind and, as I have said, see if mohammed agrees with you. By the way, I was not referring to anything in particular so please don't jump to conclusions. On a side note; after reading the sira, you may wish to reconsider some of the points you raised in your response. Finally, FYI, I consider myself well-read in respect to Isalm so there is nio need to tell me what Mohammed is alleged to have said and done (hadith/sunnah, quran), where and what he did and who he was with at particular times. I am well aware; perhaps more aware than yourself if I may say so. Note my 'sources' below. Regards' John

They really don't.
Visit Singapore sometime like I have. You'll see just about every religion in the world mixed here. And yet, the people are on a whole, very warm and friendly and tolerant.
The world can learn a lesson from Singapore. It may be a dictatorship, but maybe it takes a dictatorship to create peace and harmony.
