Need help with ipod?

When I download music videos from limewire to i-tunes i conver it to suit the i-pod then i transfer to i-pod, but there is never any sound on the i-pod

what format is the music video in before you convert it to mpeg4? after you convert it, can you play it in itunes and does it have sound there? is it a volume issue?

it has to be in mp4 formet to play video with sound on ipod,u cant play any other format of video on ipod
