I forgot to tell you that I am european, half french and half italian, so I do not have nothing to do with Iran or islamic people. Just to show you that you have a president that speaks about devils and people against democracy so that he can invade their countries and then... surprise!!! Their speeches seem not so demoniac as Bush says...

I read it and I agree'd with alot of what he said, I was really surprised...im sure alot of the answers your gonna get are from people who didn't even read it but I did. He talks alot about peace and trying to live in peace and oppression from bigger countries...then I read president bush's...and at first all he was talking about was our country and 9/11 and how violent the middle east was...and in the middle he made a few good points about growing up in a country like that and not being able to change your govt and the only way to do anything is terrorism...but them he F'ks up again...by talking about how brave the people of iraq were for voting in free elections and braving terrorism..but he forgets that Iraq only became a terrorist battlefield after we invaded thier country...over all I liked that site and im gonna read some more speaches.

History has a way of repeating itself. Chamberlain and Hitler came up with a peace agreement with Europe so that they could all live side by side. Remember these are word being said in front of a bunch of politicians or blow hards. Lets look at the facts:

1) Iran is one of the biggest sponsors of the hezbo's
2) They supplied rockets and other weapons to them to fight Israel
3) He has stated that Israel must be eliminated. This was in a German newspaper call Das Spiegel
4) They are supporting the insurgents in Iraq because they do now want a democratic state next door.
5) He refuses to admit that 6 million Jews and others were murdered in WW2.

In Ahmadinejad closing remarks, he gives a reference to his belief that the 12th Imam is near. No one in the press is talking about this. In Islam, the 12th Imam will show up in Iran someplace -- I forget the name of the place -- and when he does, that's the end of the earth. The 12th Imam comes and cleanses the earth by getting rid of everybody, and he believes that it's going to happen in the next two years. Do the words mushroom cloud bring shivers to your spine?

Should I go on? This man is a danger to the world and one speech at the UN doesn't make him a great leader. Why are Europeans such pacifists? You let Hitler in your own backyard and now this? Don't you ever learn from history?

I heard the speech. The ability to act moderate in the United Nations does not absolve you from making comments calling for the destruction of your neighbors. Nor does comparing the President of the United States to being the devil, or being possessed by the devil, reinforce any moderate position. Nice try, but most Americans are not going to be fooled by the wolf in sheep's clothing.

1. I am iranian
2. thank you for this question, because I really wanted to know what do other people think about his speech
3. Iranians are not ARAB, just muslim, and what sb says about lying is not true this way, you know after reading this I learned that even IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE YOU WILL NOT EVER EVER BELEIVE, EVEN IF IT IS PROVED TO YOU.
4. what he said is exactly what iran government says from the first day of revolution, but how about USA, I'll help you with an example: when saddam (iraq) attacked iran un security council did not accept that iraq was invader for about 7 to 8 year and who was responsible about it you think: a very easy answer USA. and who helped iraq with weapons? agian USA, but now go and check bush's speech. I mean a truth is always truth and lie remains lie. Bush changes his words in every speech, one time he says iranian are evil and violent, then he appreciates them. just please open your eyes and think carefully. You think that Ahmadi-nejad is lier so you do not even TRY to understand his words!
5. No one mentioned what he said about security council: he commented that if these 5 countries in the council make mistake then where should judge them, rather than just saying stupid things answer this easy question!
6. about 12 imam, he will not show in iran, but in mecca, near kaba'. and he will bring justify and peace to the whole world, if you want to know the reality about him go to shia' sites like: http://www.imammahdi-s.com/index.asp
instead of just keep lying! if you want to speak about sth first learn the truth about it!

Ok and you read this and you'll know my answer to your question.
Al Ghazzali, the great 11th Century Moslem theologian, wrote: Know that a lie is not a "haram" (wrong) in itself, but only because of the evil conclusions to which it leads the hearer, making him believe something that is not really the case..... If a lie is the ony way of obtaining a good result it is permissible.... We must lie when truth leads to unpleasant results."

"Lying", writes the Arab sociologist Sonia Hamady," is a widespread habit among the Arabs and they have a low idea of truth. The Arab has no scruples about lying if by it he obtains his objective. He is more interested in feeling than facts... The Arab language, moreover, provides its users with the tool for assertion and exaggeration."

From the traditional Arab point of view, it's not proper to give a totally honest answer if a higher order value is at stake, like saving face or the family honor. In Arabic culture, this is not known as "lying", but "adjusting" or "bending" the truth. This feature of their culture may be annoying, to say the least, for police investigators."

"It is the norm for Arabs to deny a fact (however blatant) and blame others rather than admit to the wrongdoing and apologize. Honesty is not rewarded." - Nonie Darwish

"I am ready to kill for the sake of my cause; wouldn't I lie for it?" - Yasser Arafat

Israel is only an excuse Islam uses in the west to further their cause of conquest. The list of Muslim atrocities worldwide is incredible. Approximately 30 wars involving Islam. Millions killed, enslaved, raped, and displaced.

Ibn Khaldun (d. 1406), perhaps the preeminent Islamic scholar in history, summarized five centuries of prior Muslim jurisprudence with regard to the uniquely Islamic institution of jihad:

In the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the [Muslim] mission and [the obligation to] convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force... The other religious groups did not have a universal mission, and the holy war was not a religious duty for them, save only for purposes of defense... Islam is under obligation to gain power over other nations.

I have heard the parts of the speech that you seem so orgasmic elated about. You may be half French and half Italian but you are also half witted and a half-assed terrorist supporter. Comprendo?

this did not seem like the demoniac the US media portrays him or Iran to be

in fact, I have met people at airport from Iran and they were dual citizens of US in California, a family not unlike many

they were intelligent and "American as apple pie"

they were like me, and I was like them, just want to live and be well

thanks for the link, great speech

President Bush (of USA) is cuckoo also.
