according to bohr model of atom orbit is the definate circular 2-D path of revolving electron. according to the wave mechanics model of atom electron has daul nature i.e. electrone has particle nature as well as wave nature. so we cannot specify the position of an electron around nucleus, we can only express the probability of position of an electrone in a definate 3-D area.where the probability is maximum i.e. 95% called orbital.
