Calm down honey!
There is no perfect parent....we all make our own mistakes.
Try not to take things so personally in here.
Some of these people are young kids, some of them don't have children, and some of them don't even raise their own children.
They have no idea how hard it is to try to change a squirming baby's crappy diaper and how letting him play with a baby wipe for a couple of minutes makes the changing go by quicker, fuss free and less messy!
Good luck....

Calm down. There's no perfect way to be a parent and if anyone thinks they are perfect, they are lying to themselves. Everyone has done something that someone else would say is wrong.
I let my 6 month old watch TV, he loves Judging Amy on TNT, so I let him watch it while I do the dishes. That's appalling to some people, but it helps us get thru the day. He doesn't take long naps anymore, so that's the biggest break I get to do the dishes all day.
As long as the wipes have no alcohol then I think it's fine, but like I said if your boyfriend is still freakin about it just buy some baby washcloths(they're smaller than adult wash clothes is why I say baby ones) and wet them for him to chew on.

i'm not sure what the question was or the answers you recieved, but beware that there are a lot a judgemental, ignorant, uneducated people who feel free to run thier mouths off on this website. Very few times will you get the answers your truely looking for, however, just to let you know-if your doing your best then you are a great mom, and also-chewing on wipes is sometime the only way my 9 month old will sit still during a change-and I haven't even researched it because I know it's only for a few minutes and he not ingesting the content, just the juice ha ha. I'm sorry you got some shitty answers.

I hope when I become a first time parent that is my biggest issue! You can't be doing too bad if that's it! Don't let a bunch of people on here you don't know get to you. There will always be the people trying to help and people that are insecure and make fun of everyone else. I'm glad you rose above it, and I didn't read your 1st question but if you were worried about health problems because your son played with a wipe while you changed him, I wouldn't worry if I were you. Worse things will happen to him and you won't always be able to protect him. I am glad to hear you care this much about his safety, I have seen horrific things... (a friend of mine lets her son eat hand cream cus he cries in the car- and leaves him there for hours if he falls asleep so she doesnt have "to deal" with him...kids raising kids) congrats on your gorgeous healthy baby boy!!

I do the same thing. I let him play with the wipes or diaper rash cream tube because it is the only way to change a poopy diaper without him touching it and getting it everywhere. People tend to hide behind their keyboards throwing insults at people. I think the majority of the bashers don't even have children.

I didn't answer the other question you asked, but read it. Here is my answer.
I see nothing wrong with the baby sucking on a wipe. Wipes are strong. Try tearing one of them. I highly doubt a baby with hardly any teeth can bite a piece off when an adult can't even rip them.
I've seen babies suck on them for hours....nothing every happened to them. My neice used to do it..She's 10 years old now.
There are NO TOXINS in wipes! My daughter sucked on them all the time, she's 4. There is nothing wrong with her.

I'm so sorry that people were rude to you. If you check out my questions--according to many--I'm a "horrible" mother too. You just have to roll with the punches! I have been told this several times from people on here that some parents just put others down because they aren't secure enough to admit--they aren't perfect. At least you and I are mature and responsible enough to ask questions.
As for the baby wipe--I'm sure it's fine. My son like them too--try to get the unscented kind if you can--it might be better.

I totally agree with you. I heard a lot of mixed oppions once (from DOCTORS) so i wanted to know what other people heard. I honestly just wanted information but some people snapped on me saying mean things like i was the reason for birth controll... Horrible things. I am a good mother. I try my hardest... as i'm sure you do. I give my son his diaper to hold while i change him... It's no bigger...

You go girl. It is about time someone told all these people off for being rude and judging you. My son plays with wipes when I am changing him and there is nothing wrong with him. If it makes your son happy when you are changing him the let me do it. It is better to have something to keep them happy the scrumming around when you change him.

no one is a perfect mom i let my daughter play with wipes and it didn't harm her. so whoever told u that u was a bad parent should be smacked a couple times. We all have to learn especially being a first time mom its hard go with ur instincts. Your not a bad parent a bad parent is someone who don't give a dam* about their kids and lets them do whatever. You are and will be a good parent
