start her with a base tan of johnson's sun tan msturiser, or i thonk dove are now doing one too, that should help her skin get some base tanning, and prevent her burning too easly, also if you ise the sun stuff at night, and use a good sun tan lotion in the day, starting with high factor of about 35, and working down to a lw factor as her skin lowly tans, dont try and go for the tan in 3 days!

I have the same problem, well not that hard as your daughter, anyway this is caused by the skin's pigments, we get easy a sunburn than others do. To avoid this you should pay attention on the clack. The morning sun is a blessing, but after 12-1 to 3-4 o'clock, you should be very careful, in the afternoon the sun is very dangerous, the radiations are more powerful than ever. You can get easy a sunburn when the wind blows, especially when you are in the water. So you should be careful, always have a suncream with you and other protections from the sun. And don't stay too long in the sun and bright colors clothes are good at a sunny, hot session. You could ask the doctor what should you do when your daughter has another sunburn and ask more information about the sun and this problem. Hope this has helped you a little. Good luck!

Some people do not tan. I am one of those who used to turn pink. Now I turn a little yellow and with lots of freckles. My old friends from Alcoi and southeast of Spain did not tan either, they were a lot like me, skin-wise. They had red and blonde-brown hair, fair yellow skin at the end of summer. They loved their bodies and did not try for darker skin. I wish some of the mothers in the county I live in would follow that example and not send their teen daughters to the tanning beds here! I wish that were considered child abuse, LOL, coz that's going to cause cancer when they're older, and self esteem issues, if nothing else. You know some fair people can get sun poisoning...?
It's not advisable to try to get someone to tan when it's not how you're biologically wired.

Suntan Lotion doesn't stop the Tan just the BURNING. use a high factor with a top up regularly, then work down the factors until your daughter is happy with the one she's using.

She would be best to stay out of the sun. If she burns so easily then she doesn't have the skin type to tan. Make sure she wears lots of sun cream and a hat as she is at a high risk of getting skin cancer.

one of my daughters has jet black hair and very pale almost white white skin and she burns too. Last year I treated her to an all over spray fake tan at a salon...its done in a cubicle, the from there on she used very high factor sun SPRAY not cream as this disperses the fake tan more quickly...it worked for her and she did the same again this year.

There is no "best way" to get a tan! Slap on factor 60, protect her from the sun and buy some fake tan if she wants a bit of colour.

no offense but she does not need to try and tan. Her body is already telling her that she needs to stay out of the sun as much as possible.
Some people cannot tan and she is one of them. Get her a 50plus sunscreen and keep her from burning. If she applies sunscreen every day eventually she will get a slight base tan but she does not ever need to try and get dark. It is too dangerous for her skin.

Fake tan. Have it professionally done at a spa. It will work better and last longer. You don't want to expose her to sun if she burns easily, because she will be at high risk for skin cancer. Always use suntan lotion...

Well the first thing to do is get the highest sun factor cream you can find (50+). Then you need to ask yourself why she needs to get a sun tan? If she burns so easily then its your job to ensure she goes out with appropriate protection (i.e shade...parasol) if she's hell bent on getting a tan, buy fake stuff.
