What do you think about pot smokers?

What are your views about people who smoke pot? And do your views about someone who smokes pot change depending on their job or status in society?

I consider myself a very open minded person. I have two daughters that smoke pot. I never did. BUT my point is this. I told them a long time ago, I would much rather see them smoke 2 joints than drink a 6 pack of beer. I knew they both smoked it but never did they smoke it in front of me. They would roll them and that was it. I love my daughters very much. When they would smoke they had more sense about them than a sloppy as+ drunk that spits and slobbers all over a person. Yuck

If I truly had my way, they would do neither one. AND if I had my way, pot would not be illegal. Alcohol and pot both alter the mind.

I don't feel that smoking pot has anything to do with your job or your status in society. If you want to smoke--smoke away.

People who smoke dope.....( i am not from N.America) are fine. I was introduced to it at the age of 12 and smoked it like ciggies from the age of 17 to 25. With dope smokers you get some good chilled conversations/debates when your all sitting around philosophising on one thing or another. DRINKERS I find are the ones to watch out for. Alcohol is a terrible drug firstly for your personal health but even more so for the anti social behaviour it creates. Marijuana admittedly does affect your mental health...it did mine..but that's because I done it too much. The great majority of people I have met that partake in a puff o weed are quite sound. Personally i don't like a drink , never have really, I prefer a toke of some green. Unfortunately cause I quit smoking re4cently I haven't had any.

There is nothing particular about "pot" smokers as you seem to be suggesting. I like people for thier personality no matter what stuff they take. Peoples jobs ceertainly don't influence how i treat them.

Which reminds me, your views on your smoking "habit" are all terribly wrong coachrosebud. YOU ARE addicted to nicotine. YOU DONT ENJOY SMOKING. I smoked all the time when I was bored like yourself. Why else do you smoke a foul smelling, very expensive weed (tabac), unsociable, unhealthy, carcinogenic....because your ADDICTED TO NICOTINE>>>its the way its designed to work.

I think it a person right. We are allowed to drink and smoke cigarettes so people who some pot are just like those people. I don't think my opinions change by their profession or status in society because I believe that we should all be responsible and not go to work under the influence of any intoxicants.

Everyone has a dependence, but everyone has the choice and the will to not adhere to that dependence. Not all pot smokers are bad, weak people. Not all pot smokers should be judged by one action. Its still about the totality of a person.

There are good and bad people in every status or jobs or any country or every religion. Even now days there are HIV positive people in every culture . So we can't blame those sources as a reason to be a person's disorder or misbehavior.
most of the Drug addicted people has low self esteem and complex or bad childhood experiences or avoided and ignored persons by society because of their behaviors.
I believe they need immediate medically , physically,and psychologically care and need lot of love from others. If they will get enough of them they should change themselves as soon as possible.

I think what they do is their business! No matter what their status is in life; what difference would that make? You mean, like only looking down on the lower class pot smoker; as opposed to the rich pot smoker? That doesn't matter! It is still illegal! But, i think it should be legalized!! Pot smokers don't kill people or rob banks; we'll leave that to the the crack heads!! LOL High Times...

I don't have a problem with people that smoke it. I would rather have people do that than alcohol. They both are mind altering but, I never knew of a person that smoked pot and was violent!

Most of the time I find that they are fairly boring and usually stink of it. I've known many pot smokers and dated a few. It's a stupid addiction that does nothing for you except make you lazy.

My view is similar to my view of alcohol.

If you drink / smoke now and then that's fine.

If it starts to take over your life, or you become dependant on it - you need to stop.

If you smoke on a night when you're not working, not supervising a minor, and you don't have to drive - that's fine
