We covered this in my introductory philosophy class. Basically, I can't prove that I'm not a brain in a vat and the entire experience of my life wasn't programmed into that brain. I just have to take it on faith. Furthermore, you certainly can't believe any of us, should we claim that were are real human beings rather than constructs.

I am a real person.
But clearly a lot of the "people" on Yahoo! answers are fake, computer-generated. The most pathetic is when their artifical intelligence software tries to guess what are "hot themes" and all of a sudden you have dozens of questions on the same, totally niche-y theme (such as, recently, the time it took for radiation to get out of the sun).
Now all I have to do is hope that their AI is not too geared to block anything that has "Yahoo! Answers" in it... ;-)

Computers don't ACT like people, they THINK like people. Brane theory. Read all about it. Then you'll realize human technology is WAY ahead of the wired version.

A real person. What is seen on line however is a stylized version of myself.
