I have the VIN # and I know it is an '82, but to get parts the stores ask if it was built b4 10-82 or after 11-82, I don't know.

If you will look on the inside edge of the door or on the inside of the doorjam there should be a sticker that has a production date, it should say 10/82 or 11/82

On an 82, the labels with the actual date printed wouldnt be readable or just not there.

Take the VIN to a dealer. They will tell you all the dates you need to know.

you did not say what model and make truck you have ,but if you look carefully on the door on the driver,s side you will see a date of manufacturer abreviated ,most vehicles when they are made before september are considered the previous year model for example the year models are done from september of the previous year to september the following year ,If you still cannot find the tag in the door take your vin number to your local dealer and ask them ,they should have all the information that you need,I hope that I was helpful, delmy d
