A few suggestions for you.........
My son owns a Carpet Cleaning Company for some time now, and there is a "Special Spray" he uses on such Oder's that work pretty well, but, if the dog doo sat for any length of time and saturated the padding of the carpet, then you might have a problem.
In this case, I would get your carpet cleaned professionally... It will be worth your $$$ and the problem will be resolved.
If you choose this option, make sure you ask them about some kind of guarantee that the products they use "Will" remove the smell, and if it comes back, what will they do?? Free of charge??
Using White Vinegar is also a great idea...
Put some in a spray bottle, spray the area enough so that it saturates the carpet. Leave it for maybe 10 minutes.. lay a clean cloth over the area and step on it with your foot several times until the liquid is absorbed into the cloth...
If you use lemon, you must be careful on colored carpets because it will lift the color out sometimes....
If there is a "Whole Foods" in your area, I suggest that you visit it, as they have a great pet department for remedies such as this...
Best of luck!!

Okay, have you ever heard of the "Home-Remedy" of useing vinegar, for your "Stinky-sponge" that washes your dishes? Well, everytime, my sponge will get that odor, and its still looking "Brand-new" I pour vinegar all over it, with it sitting on a paper plate, and microwave the sponge for one, minute! When it dings I take the scorching hot sponge and let cold water run all over it, then ring it out, and never fails, that smell is gone, and it doesn't make my hand smell anymore, either.. Well my suggestion to you, for your doggy odor, would be to get one of those plastic Mist-bottles, and pour a whole bottle of vinegar, and like 1/4 water in it..And mist away!!! Now, mind you, your area, where you spray, will smell like vinegar, rather than Poop, but, which odor would you prefer?? Ha!-Ha! But, the vinegar smell does dissipate!! And keep doing this for a couple days!! Until you know you've for sure gotten rid of that "Pesty-odor!" Its the best darn remedy, you can use this same mister, for getting rid of cigarette odor, or for stinky shoes, around the house!! I've even used in when in a "Hurry" for getting out wrinkles, out of my shirt!! Then just sprayed alot of perfume, on it, while it was drying!! Works better, than an iron, "Almost".... And its so cheap!! What .50 cents a bottle, so I stock up, when I do my grocery shopping !! Thats how much, I use vinegar, around my house, and its chemical free!! Good-Luck,,to you!! Dog odors be gone, right? Right... Smie!!!!

Log on to As Seen on TV and scroll through because they have a product that's been advertising on television regarding getting out stains and urine smells from your house. If all else fails you might wanna replace that carpet because that smells gets down into the hard floor under that carpet. Ugh. Good luck!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7IV
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Try the link below -- along with the step-by-step instructions on how to remove pet stains, it addresses the issue of odor as well. There are also links on the page to sites that sell products to help with this job, if the ammonia wash and baking soda don't do the trick. Good luck!!
