Easy way to get ur problems solved....
Hmmmm........apply the formula of volume of hollow cylinder and get the answer....it just seems difficult but it isnt so.....try out its really easy.....n if u dun get it by this way......then refer the method given below.....: hmmmm.......m not going to solve it for u...!!!

Volum of hollow cylinder = 22/7 x (thickness)x { [ (radius of the coin)x(radius of the coin) ] - [(radius of the colored circle)(radius of the colored circle) ] }

Tats nothing but simply...........volume of a hollow cylinder= 22/7 mulitiply by height mulitplied by the square of radius of the coin......

Here radius is equal to square of radius of the coin subracted by square of radius of the colored circle.......

Now put the values as directed above and u wuld surely get the right answer......if u do the way directed.......:)

Set this up by finding 2 volumes:

Volume of inner cylinder (pi * ri^2 * h) where ri is the inner radius
Volume of the coin (pi * rc^2 * h) where rc is the coin radius

Inner cylinder: pi * 8mm * 1.3mm = 10.4pi mm
Coin: pi * 29/2mm * 1.3mm = 18.85pi mm

Outer cylinder = coin - inner cylinder
Outer cylinder = (18.85 - 10.4) * pi mm
Outer cylinder = 8.45 * pi mm
Outer cylinder = 26.55 mm

volume of a cylinder is: pi * r^2 * height
so first get volume of entire coin and then subtract volume of inner cylinder.

[Pi (r1^2 - r2^2)]*h

V = 3.1415926 * (14.5mm^2 - 8mm^2)^2 * 1.3mm = 597.3 mm^3 = 0.597 cc
