I love my Mom! I am a Momma's Boy! Okay ... yes I can admit that. I see my Mom at least 3 times a week, but when she calls I always feel like she wants me over there everyday. I want to be the "good son", so how much is enough?

Keep up the three times a week. That sounds great! Since i've been engaged and found a new career I haven't had any time to visit my mother at all and she's not too happy about it. I was the baby girl in the family and I do wish I can see her more often and take her out to dinner sometimes but my schedules just been rammed up the as* for so long. Now she's planning to go on vacation for a year because she thinks I don't care about seeing her. =( Appreciate every moment with her. She's lucky that she has such a caring son.

Your mom needs to realise that u r grown. Its called empty nest syndrome. Most parents get it. She needs to get a hobby or something. You moved for a reason? or dont u quite remember.
I think its good that u have such a great relationship with your mother, there is nothing wrong with it. Buy her a pet to fuss over. A bird or something. Just bcoz u dont go there just as much u wont become the bad son. Youll always b her good boy. U need to become her good man. Go there maybe 1 or 2 a week or maybe tell her that u go eat there every sunday afternoon and u r allowed to bring a friend or so over. Its quality time and it gets her used to u not being there, but also gives her the security of a routine.

How much is enough for you? Does your relationship with your Mom interfere with dating, marriage, friends, other activities?? My Mom passed away in 1998, so it's hard for me to be objective in this area. You didn't say whether or not your Dad is in the picture or if your Mom has other friends and interests. Seeing her 3 times a week is great, but if you're feeling pressured to spend more time with her then talk to her about it and find out exactly what she's feeling.

It is nice you have this type of relationship with your mother b/c some don't and some which they did but please remember that when and if you get a girlfriend or wife it may be hard for them to understand this and it could cause problems. Your mother may also cut them down and finding the right girl for you that your mother likes will be HARD! and you will end up with the wrong women.. Your mother won't be around for ever and life is short so see her as often as you can but don't let it turn into a bad thing, with your relationships have your mother and girlfriend be just as close to one another as you are with her - lol this will almost be near impossible but try it maybe your momma' won't be as controlling as some that I have seen.
I see my mom very little but if I saw her more we would get along less.... Sometimes it works aginst me....

If 3 times a week isn't interfering with your life that should be enough. If my mom lived closer that would be about how much I would go visit her

I would say, visit her at least 1 or 2 times a month and call her at least once a week...

If you can manage visiting her daily while not disturbing any other schedules then it is beutiful or else three times a week is also fine...
You may like to try to increase the number by one, if you can...

As much as you enjoy her company is enough. However, you shouldn't let your relationship with your mother interfere with other relationships and you activities. She needs to get some things to do - she sounds lonely. Don't become bitter by seeing her too much it is better to wean yourself off each other.

i think 3X a week is good, but i also think at least talking to her every day is very important... we never know when we may lose someone we love, take every opportunity to tell her you love her!
