This is a common issue with parents of teens who have cell phones. You can Call Cingular to have the text messages blocked. Cingular will not charge you for doing this. You can dial 611 from your mobile phone or you can call 866-331-0500 from a landline and just Request to block Text Messaging.
Hope this Helps! :)

Contact your service provider, it can be done. It is a simple process. You can even block just incoming texts or just outgoing texts. Or, of course, both ways. You can even block mobile internet and even incoming and outgoing calls with the service provider in the event you lose your cell phone. Just a precaution if someone happened to steal it from you and tried to use it racking up a lot of long distance charges etc....

no the textual content cloth messages dont roll over and consistent with textual content cloth is 10 cents incoming and outgoing. i propose to no longer get att/cingular because of the fact I extremely have that cellular telephone business enterprise and that i'm getting some many dropped calls. im approximately to end my settlement with them that ive had for a minimum of 6 years and go someplace else.

don't let your children have a cell phone, they should be learning in school anyway, not reading text messages
