I do iron my bedding that is real cotton. I will iron other bedding if I have washed them at 40 degrees or less coz that's what Kim and Aggie said to do and I trust them. I also iron my teatowel so that I can save energy by washing at a lower heat and by ironing them you are definatly killing all bacteria that may be on them even after they have been washed.
Trust Kim and Aggie they are the queens of clean afterall :o).

These days, bed linens don't have to be ironed if they are taken directly from the dryer and folded neatly and stored away for later use. Our grandmothers did iron just about everything because the fibers used for weaving the linens were not as well twisted to make a smooth lying sheet, so those who could afford the time to do it, or the help to get it done, did iron their linens. It made for a MUCH nicer bed to look at and, especially, to sleep in.
I confess that I usually do iron my pillowcases and top sheet. It does make a difference in how the sheet feels on the skin.

I do if we have guests but usually I fold it very neatly straight out of the dryer or off the line.
If I have spare time and I'm changing the sheets I'll iron them, it makes the bed feel luxurious. As I get so little spare time with a newborn and 2 year old it's a real treat!

I used to do it when I was married because my ex & I both liked the feel of crip sheets. Now, there just isn't time & it's not worth the effort unless I'm expecting company. Often I miss crawling into the bed with ironed sheets but unless I could afford a house keeper, or something....it's just not going to happen for me personally unless I make time to do it for myself.

Whenever possible I hang them out to dry. The weight of the sheets pulls out the wrinkles. When almost dry I take them down and throw them in the dryer to finish the job. This kills any pollen that might have settled on them outside and gives them a fresh scent. It's hard to iron sheets without having them drag on the floor.

i did not understand anybody nonetheless did that!!! I grew up ironing towels, pillow situations and sheets. i do not iron a doggone aspect now. From the mattress--to the washer--to the dryer-back on the mattress. I have 2 contraptions of sheets (if i do not get one washed--the different comes out of the closet--wrinkles and all on the mattress!!) I continually wondered--"why am I ironing the towel??" Tho I even ought to assert--at the same time as i turned right into a smooth 'un---I had to do the "Spray Starch" on the sheets after I ironed them!!

Never! Don't iron much else either. If my husband needs a shirt he irons it himself (unless I'm feeling really generous). Alway try to buy non-iron shirts etc. Life's too short for ironing.

It makes the bed look neater. But if you live on your own, there's no point (unless you're expecting company - eh; eh). Well, nor do I iron my undies or my socks - in fact shirts are almost the only regular items I do iron

My flat mate does. I've done it once before and it does make them feel even better to climb in to at night, but only the once. It's a bit of a waste of time and electricity. Like ironing your pants!
