Really loved the Godfather films, but my favourite was part 2. Probably because it went right back to the beginning of the story, so you learnt how the Godfather actually started his life in the USA and his rise to becoming number one in the organisation. And, of course, Robert de Niro played the part so well.

The best for me was The Epic which was a VHS collection and follwed the Corleone family chronologically (Starting with DeNiro's Vito and finishing where Godfather II finishes).
Alas they do not do this on DVD :(

Part 1 was the best. Part 3 was so bad because Mario Puzo didn't even write the 3rd book!

I think G2 was the best but G1 excellent too. G3 wasn't that bad but people just compare it to the first two and it is inferior by comparison, but it's not a bad movie per se.
