Get some gun gum, repair bandage, some old pieces of exhaust, a welding gun, and go to work.

Preventative measures might include covering any visible rust with a rust eating paint.

If you do get it repaired, ensure that they seal all your gaskets and joins properly afterwards. I had to take one car back to the garage and get them to replace the exhaust manifold gasket for free as they had not tightened bolts properly after a repair.

What are you trying to repair? There are a lot of different parts between the manifold and the muffler.

What is your question? Depending on the problem, you may be able to weld it, you may need a new part or parts, or the whole system may need to be replaced. If you ask a more specific question, people could help you more!!
