I have been distant from him for some time--being that I have had to drive him around for 2 months and I have felt thats all he wants to see me for..I want to be closer to him emotionally--but its hard when i drive him around, then go to work, then when I get off work, he is working nightshift.. long story short, last week I started avoiding his calls being that I knew he needed to be driven around--but my energy was getting depleted.. I return to him to find that he is hurt and now he wants to just date....yet wants me to show him a way to make him feel loved and appreciated<<- everthing I have wanted for months--now I must show HIM-- I am confused and frustrated, please advise! How do I show that I care?

She doesn't include that for 2 years she has been standing me up on a regular basis. We would make plans for that evening and she would be MIA, when I would call she wouldn't even answer the phone and would get upset with me because I was upset for being stood up. I regularly catch the bus to my appointments, but then I have no time to see her. She volunteers to drive me around and I regularly give her gas, buy oil for the car...

Show that you care by being honest. Let him know that transportation to and from work has to be his responsibility. Until both of you can survive independently the relationship may have to be put on hold. Can I ask what contribution he makes that you should reward with love and appreciation? Is this love and appreciation reciprocal? You are coming to a place where you will reap the rewards of stability and responsibility. You may have to apply the same priciples to your love life. Also, his dependence on you may be making him insecure. Help him with his independence if this relationship is worth keeping.

It sounds to me like you've already been showing him, while all he's doing is taking advantage of you. Now, because you didn't do what he wanted, he's punishing you. Get rid of him. He's a user, a manipulator. Believe me you don't want that kind of man. get rid of him and find someone who knows how to be a man.

If you get so tired driving him around, it means that you don't like him enough and that he's too dependent.
