The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings series, Harry Potter Books, Chrestomanci Series, His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. These are all books in the fantasy genre. Historical novels can be good too. I remember reading one called Johnny Tremaine at school which I enjoyed.

what do you you run out of books to read.if you have try shakespeare,dickens or other greats like the russians it is heavy for a 12 yr old

laurell k hamiton is a great author and wrote the anita blake series. anything by terry goodking(books are huge) mary higgins clark, the wheel of times series, anne macaurtry and her dragon series. trust me i read a lot and theses are great books.
