When I was a little girl about 5 or 6 years old I loved this cartoon film called the little unicorn. It also had a little red devil in it. I loved this film so much my mum tried to buy it from the video shop where she had originally rented it from but they wouldn't sell it and she was never able to get a copy from anywhere else. I have searched the internet trying to find it but cannot, the year would have been about 1983-86 does anyone know which film im talking about???

I think you might be thinking of "The Last Unicorn," I remember seeing a cartoon movie like that a long time ago. They don't have any movies that I could find called "The Little Unicorn," but they had something called "The Last Unicorn" from the 80s.

By your description it sounds familiar to The Last Unicorn which was my favorite movie as a child, and the only place I could find it at was Walmart.

Oh my god! I LOVED that movie when I was little!
You can by the DVD or VHS on Amazon - I think the DVD is less than $10!!!
Just type in Last Unicorn in the search bar and it's the first thing that comes up!

If you do mean "The Last Unicorn" I just recently got it on netflix.
So that's another option if you have netflix also.
