They are jealous of the Democracy we have in this country. While it may not be the most perfect Govt. all the time as it is constantly still progressing. Our form of Govt. has proven to be the best Govt. in the world and the strongest and fittest and has stood the test of time and came out on top. They wish that they could be more like us. What they don't seem to understand is our Govt. has been evolving from the day it was created by our forefathers and will continue to evolve. That is why we have the wealth and prosperity we have in this country.
Their Govts. spread this crap about us and put us down to their people and create this atmosphere towards us in order to cover up their own weaknesses from their people while turning to the USA with their hand out for money and aid.I for one am tired of hearing how much the rest of the world is always talking about us as if we were the scum of the earth. I am for cutting out a lot of this money and aid and letting them learn to get along without our help and putting that money back into America and solving some of our own problems within our great country. For insance narrowing or eliminating the gap between the classes. Closing the pay gap that still exists between men and women. Eliminating the poverty level all together. Eliminating the fact that we have children in our own country that go to bed hungry and do not have acess to medical care. Building more prisons so we can put people who perpitrate crimes against children instead of letting them all off with a slap on the wrist or in most cases not even that. This would include deadbeat parents, child abusers, child molesters, child neglecters. The lists of things that could be fixed or made better is endless. We could alleviate a lot of problems we have a lot sooner my keeping the money we give away to these ungrateful countries that spit on us even more the more we help them.

I believe the question is more about what the peoples of most countries are taught to think by the Government. We spend billions to help those who wish to dispose of our liberties. Remember that your rights are only here due to the blood of our founding fathers. If tyrants fear anything it's the spread of freedom and the people having the right to remove them from power. So it is best to teach hate and fear of the U.S. True we give Little thought to other countries and that needs to change, but the more we know of them the less so many citizens would sympathize. Keep in mind each man woman and child is born to the right to choose to fight or submit to tyranny.

We front dictators, interfere with domestic issues, dictate and manipulate their policies by withholding aid, threaten, intimidate and invade. We supported Noreiga, Ngo Dien Diem, Sukarno, Batista, Saddam and Marcos...and then watched as their nations crumbled. We lie. We make agreements with other nations only to find ways to violate those agreements. We try to impose 'democracy' on people who are a step away from tribal chiefs and wonder why the election wasn't successful. America should think about staying at home, and the world would be a better place.

Many foreigners dislike Americans because of our ignorance to the rest of the world and our conceitedness. Most of them, however, love our culture. Unfortunately, the arrogance and ignorance now controls our government, also, so we're in a double whammy.

I think it's because the United States doesn't take the time to learn about other countries. If I were to ask some from the U.S. to name the 11 provinces in Canada, they wouldn't even know where to start. But if you ask someone from Canada to name the 48 states, they probably could.
The U.S. is very powerful I do admit, but they don't have to be ignorant.

A simple question that provokes a very complex answer. Lets just say that the U.S. has so much power and wealth but you only need look at some of the questions here to understand just how damn stupid the U.S. can be.

i say it is because of their foreign policy.America wants to rule the world by whatever means.(if you are not with us you are with).Look at what happened in Lebanon.Israel was given time to kill innocent civilians while American welcomed the action.Don't we all know that Iraq was invaded yet they had no weapons of mass destruction.
The thing also is arm Israel to destroy the Arab world.Let know Arab world be strong. Why not try to invade Korea?
