What exactly is the mentality behind putting extremely loud stereos in a car? Is it to get attention? Anytime I hear a loud stereo I only look to see which car is making that annoying noise. Did someone do a scientific experiment where loud stereo=lots of sex? Or is it "He's got a loud stereo so I need one too," without thinking of the reason why? Anyone else feel this way?

I agree. It is pretty bad when I cannot hear my own stereo.

Good question. I think it's just people lacking social skills that need attention. Those with the loud stereos will be the very ones in the nursing home someday that cannot hear you! It's just a cry for attention I think.

1. People who do this have incompetent parents who never taught them manners.
2. People who do this usually have low I.Q.'s
3. People who do this usually have an unsatisfying life, and blast music to get attention.
4. People who do this do this to feel powerful. Unfortunately for them, this is the only time in their life that they will feel powerful because they will probably end up with a loser job for the rest of their life, because they are to dumb to go to college and get a real career.
5. People who do this will someday lose their hearing, which will make them quite depressed.

On the bright side, permanent hearing loss is worse than a jail term. HAHAHAHAHAHAA! Isn't karma great?

I feel that way and worse. I feel those people are rude to be forcing their choice of music on me. I thought there was a law regarding the loudness allowed and why isn't that law being enforced?

I don't mind loud music too much but people should be decent enough to turn it down a little in drive thrus and stop lights

Someone decided that it would be cool to loose their hearing by the age of 30. I'm thinking of going into bussiness selling hearing aids since they will be in high demand in a very few years.

I think it's a conspiracy!!!! It's all secretly supported by Otologists. (Ear doctors). They funnel money into development of these rolling boom boxes so they can make even more money treating ruptured ear drums!!!1
