Wholesale is selling items at a lower cost than the retail price.

Example: When you go to the store and buy an item for $25 at the store. They most likely paid $5 for each item.

If you want to sell your items wholesale be sure you are still making a profit.

Ebay, the online auction market will sell all kinds of things.

Someone will post a "wholesale lot" auction if they are selling a group of items that are below retail price.

Lot - (noun) Auction term used when selling multiple items of the same catigory at once.

Wholesale- (noun) As opposed to retail value. It is the manufactering price needed to make an item. Wholesale items are usually sold in bulk at a discount to a retail store like Wal-mart who will sell it to the customer for a higher retail price to make a profit

Wholesale is selling in bulk quantities, with lower per item cost, since the merchandise is for resale, and the other guy has to make a profit.
