the recent world cup has shown that the highest standard of football is played not at international level but in the european leagues. the world cup is just a big show with great marketing oppurtunities 4 nike adidas etc. the world cup also adds to the number of converts 2 football but the standard of football leaves a lot 2 be desired. on the plus side holding the world cup in south africa will help in bringing out future stars from the african continent.
