Bacteria builds up on watch band straps and that is why I do not use them. I prefer the snap on metal bands better and wear a water proof tight watch, this way you can shower with it on every day and never have to take it off.
This keeps the bacteria clean of your band as well as your skin every night you shower.
This has been a big issue with some company's of people wrists getting infected from straps worn on a prolonged usage.
The watch manufacture has been making more snap bands than straps.
Straps are more Conservative and should be worn for special occasion
