Some people just have to be ignornt. No you are not a bastard. Even if that is what people want to say,it is mean and cruel and should never be said to someone. No U are not !!!

I find the use of that definition of bastard to be outdated. While some cultures still carry the stigma of unwed mothers, for the most part being born before the vows were said has no bearing on things. Yes, many people may see it as a moral issue and or a spiritual one,(their own opinions) but if there isn't a problem with it in your family, then don't worry.

No. First the term is really out of date. Second, if you are "legitimized" by the father then you aren't considered a bastard. Legitimized means that he has simply acknowledged you as his child and in some cases taken legal steps to establish paternity.

I know some bastards.
I think if they eventually do get married, then you are no longer a bastard. If they never do get married, then you will always be a bastard.
y-r-all-men-insane said it correctly. A momma whose a whore and doesn't know who her baby's daddy is has a bastard.

I hate that term. It is so old fashion. I don't think anyone is ever a bastard whether they are born if their parents are married or not...

you never were a bastard to begin with, a bastard is someone without a father as in ya mama dont know who he is....it doesnt matter if they werent married.

it's a stupid term..and should never be used i don't care if a baby was born out of wedlock or not or even if you have a father or not...whomever came up with that term needs a slap of reality..no one is a bastard fatherless or not...that's my opinion
