Hi, I've lived in Scottsdale for 57 years, it is a great town, and the people mostly whom are transplants, seem to get along well with the locals.I Love the Scottsdale Library, and the Art museum in downtown. If you like Mexican food there is none better than Los Olivos in

downtown Scottsdale. Second best Mexican would be Carlos O'Briens, it's in Phoenix, but we are right next to each other. Besides Mexican the Pink Pony is a great for steaks and Trader Vic's is fun as well!! OK housing is some what pricey, but the Rental Market is always well stocked. If I've learned one thing from Phoenix & Scottsdale Real Estate, it would be that:It's very hard to loose money on Residential Homes, they're always moving and the prices double after five years, damn near! Scottsdale does not have a to bad aa crime rate, but like many cities near the Mexican border, we do have a well stocked supply of Dealers and weekend Warriors. All in all,I can honestly say that I could continhe living here for another 50 years or so!

The city is not all about the rich... although property taxes are higher than just about any where else in the valley. It is generally an amalgamation of really nice neihborhoods and some shady areas. Its not too bad though. Most parts are very desirable to live in, lots of shopping and you are not too far away from anything.
