1. What is the height of a triangle with base 10.5 cm and area 96.075 cm2? traingle area 1/2bh 1/2(10.5)h=96.075
5.25h=96.075 5.25h/5.25=96.075/5.25 h=18.3cm

2. What is the length of the base of a triangle with height 13 cm and area 130 cm2? again 1/2bh 1/2b13=130
6.5b/6.5=130/6.5 b=20cm

3. What is the height of a triangle with base 17 mm and area 93.5 mm2? 11cm

4. What is the length of the base of a triangle with height 8 mm and area 44 mm2? 22cm

5. What is the length of the base of a triangle with height 14.2 mm and area 173.24 mm2?
Enter a decimal. 24.4mm

6. What is the length of the base of a triangle with height 26 mm and area 195 mm2? 15mm

Your dad shouldn't get mad unless the homework isn't done when it is supposed to. Before that though, he should help if your brother has a tough time with Geometry.

Those Greeks knew a thing or two about Geometry and a student who followed Plato named Euclid came up with and wrote The Elements of Geometry in 13 books.

One can easily calculate the answers if they understand the formulas in Euclidean Geometry.

For example, the area of the triangle is:
area of triangle = (1/2) base * height

Therefore:
height = area of triangle / (1/2)base or

base = 2 (area of triangle / height)

the area of a triangleis 1/2 of base x height. See the site below for a clear explanation with pictures. Hope this helps.

use formulas and work around the 1/2*Base*height=area
add up all the sides to get perimeter
and then if you need to find height when theres area divid the area but 1/2*base

formula:
A=base x height/2

1.h=2A/b
=2(96.075)/10.5
=18.3 cm

2.b=2A/h
=2(130)/13
=20 cm

3.h=2A/b
=2(93.5)/17
=11 mm

4.b=2A/h
=2(44)/8
=11 mm

5.b=2A/h
=2(173.24)/14.2
=24.4mm

6.b=2A/h
=2(195)/26
=15 mm

i'm glad to help you...
