Do these women seriously solve all their llife problems, just by changing their image and their whole bodies?
If so, their problems couldn't have been that bad in the first place. Or they're just very shallow.

I heard about this woman who went on there and had veneers done and you know they have to basically file your teeth down to nothing before they do veneers...
Then after the show all the veneers fell off and she just had little thin stubbs of teeth left and she couldn't afford to have it redone. And the show wouldn't pay either.

I think that women on the whole (not all but majority) have self esteem problems. In some way or the other, they all lack the confidence. And mostly its because of how they look.
I think its a good thing. Have you ever heard someone say "if im having a bad hair day then my days totally off". And have you ever had really nice clothes on and you know you looked cute and you felt good...like you could do anything. Well, same goes for them... I suppose they've got a new outlook on life and maybe there problems wont go away but they'll have the confidence and perspective to want to work at making their life a success.
Thanks sweetie :)

Well, I think that if something makes you feel better about yourself you should do it. (As long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, and you don't hurt yourself.) I don't think they solve all of their lives problems but it helps them get a fresh start. (It has a lot to do with what's going on on the inside not the outside.) I don't think it has to do with being shallow. Many people have to face issues with their body that make them uncomfortable. If it's something they really want let them do it... I think however it's best to be happy with yourself and accept yourself, we all have issues that's what makes us unique. If you start taking that away everyone is going to have a cookie cutter appearance.

I think it is silly, meaningless and a complete waste of money. Why don't they make a show showing how they give money for children that are terminally ill and their family cannot afford the medical care for them. Watching sick children heal or at least feel better would be uplifting.

I don't think that life problems can be solved by changing the outside looks---it is what is on the inside that you need to be content with and show that to everyone. The mind is the key to lots of things.....can change your looks but can't change the inside..........

when her grandparents dropped her off at a Vacation Normal School one summer afternoon. She knew almost nothing of religion. But that morning she stood on the corner of Cale and Huffnagle

I don't think it can purely solve one's problems...but sure it's a good start for a woman to start her life anew. If the physical appearance can improve, then it can't be bad..then maybe it's a good thing!
