You can use them, but they must be witnessed and notarized. Go to your bank and have it notarized. Why would you take the chance, if you have bothered to make one out?

Think of it this way.. If any document you create has anything to do with holdings/money/real estate you name it.. etc.
Then it must be notarized.. this is for your own benefit.

Depends on if it contested, but if it is you might have an uphill battle.
If it is contested, a forensic examination of the hard drive will be involved, I feel pretty sure.
