What does using more coupons often mean? What does cutting down on take-away meals mean?

I read this on a ACNielsen-published survey of what people will do when the cost of living is rising rapidly.

Using more coupons more often would mean using a voucher entitling the holder to a discount off a particular product a lot

and cutting down on take-away meals would mean not eating stuff, like mcdonalds and the like, as frequently

hope this clears things up for you :)
