I've tried Avast and it wasn't too bad! I have Norton but it's about to expire and I can't really afford to keep upgrading it!

All are fairly mediocue compared to some of the top rated (paid) anti-virus programs such as Kaspersky (KAV) or Eset NOD-32. But you can't beat the price.

Have used for almost three years without a problem.

Use AVG by www.grisoft.com. Its free and really works.
