♥The people I work with are very frightening...we build communications systems for the government, which might explain all the bad intelligence these days. I'm surprised that the shuttle landed this morning without incident, really. Do engineers really even go to school at all?

Hello Love-in-the-air

Qualifications for Engineering, being a geek probly. Getting Aroused by bridges is critical to getting into Engineering Uni I would imagine

I can not make anything, but I can destroy anything at all if that counts.

I have never been near Engineering but ironically I used to be the MD of an Engineering company, it is amazing what doors an MBA will blag you into!!

What questions have I asked that have inspired you towards Engineering? I didn't think I was that clever!

Funny you should mention this, My dad is an aircraft Mechanic for Boeing and works on 737's he has over 40 years of experience in this field and swears up and down that all the engineers at Boeing are complete idiots... Well the problem with engineers is they have a lot of theoretical knowledge but very little hands on experience. They spend 4 6 or 8 year depending on their schooling and learn all the theory, the problem is they often have little interface or contact with the actual product, and therefore a very limited understanding...

Engineering is not pure science where Laboratory rules are applicable. Engineers take into account many known things of natures forces , resistances but still unthought come up and that is an exception. Real qualification for an engineer is experience .

I too worked with highly educated engineers in a "security" field. I overheard 1 talking to himself in the bathroom. He may have been talking to his penis. its scary.
