How do i take an IQ test? Everyone is going on about it at work, i might be thick and stuipd, but what is and IQ test? What is it for? What is the purpose of it? Hope someone can help me.

An IQ score is a number given after taking a test. The higher the score the more intelligent you are supposed to be. An IQ test is made of of questions which require logic and common sense to answer.
I should imagine if you google 'IQ Test' you will get one up that you can take or I know bbc.co.uk have one on their site!

IQ stands for "intelligence quotient" and it is supposed to be a test of an individual's native intelligence. It's a rough yardstick and it's fun to know the number if you get a high one. "Average" intelligence is claimed to be 100 on a standard IQ test, so anything above 100 is above normal. A score of 130 will generally be a pretty bright person and a score above 150 is a hot steaming bucket of brains. Alas, I never got there...

If you are serious about it do not go to the free IQ tests on the net. They throw out a bunch of questions for you to answer and then either want you to pay for the results or use the results page to feed you advertising.
When I was a kid back in the early 80's my mom's friend gave me one. He was a university student in psychology I think. Maybe you can contact a local university and see if they know of any such program.

IQ Tests determine the inate Intelligence of the individual.
Please note, a high IQ is no match for common sence!!

Wouldn't bother with because it measures how intelligent you are based on mathematics and logic. You don't have to be mathematical or logical to be intelligent. If the people at work want to take one, then they must be thick and stupid putting themselves through it just to get a number. If you want a number, i'll give you one. Here it is:- your IQ is 200. Didn't cost you anything, you didn't have to do anything either and you got it. Now watch all those people from work go out of there way to make a big effort to get a three digit number!

an iq test measures your intelligence. You can do them online. BBC test the nation quizzes in the past have provided iq results if you complete them online.
Not meaning to have a dig but i think you mean

I wouldn't worry about it, I had my IQ tested once and it wasn't very good apparently, no one's ever complained about my vital statistics though and I find they're more important to being successful in life
