I haven't been to a concert where they don't save the best stuff for the encore.

The whole concept of encores is rubbish. Band goes off and everyione shouts "More, More, More". Then they come back out, as if it is some kind of privilege for the viewers.
I agree with your point though ... play the popular stuff first, then when they come out for the encore that you know they are going to come out for they should just play some dodgy covers. I would definitly be up for that!

Fake encores are the abomination of nearly all gigs these days. Not a huge fan but at this year's V Morrissey came on stage played his full allotted time, left the stage. How beautifully simple

Nah, I don't mind. It's nice to get out and see a band you like and have a good time, does it really matter? Besides, I kind of like it when they save the best for last, and you can't really blame anyone for doing so. That way they leave on a high note and you leave happy. I always do anyway. The point is to have a good time, not stress over which songs they're playing when.

That is just one reason I don't go to concert arenas/halls. If I do see/hear a band I would rather be in a large club ~~small hall. That way,you get to have fun with the crowd , enjoy the band , have a few drinks and not get bored.

Beside the fact that encore means again. It should be that song AGAIN not a first.
Yes I agree.
'C'mon' makes a good encore...so does 'C'mon c'mon.'

no because at least they played it....bands dont wanna be known for the song thats on the radio they want u to love all their music....and most fans go to concerts to hear them sing old stuff, and other things off the new album...most of the time not to hear their hit single.

Come on, if your gonna watch a good band and you look forward to the best song then let them have a breather so they can put everything into it. went to see The Cult last night in manchester and they were awsome!!!!!!!!! Billy Duffy rocks
