When I want to answer a meaningful, intelligent, and well asked question, I do not look at other peoples answers. I just answer the question. I feel maybe there is another answer just like mine but with the change of a word it could make the asker think differently. Does anyone else do this?

So far good answers. But, if you looked at other peoples answers would it sway you one way or another? It doesn't me.

Hey! Maybe I should start doing that!

I always read the answers and I get really annoyed when I see that someone else has already answered in a similar way to what I wanted to say....

I'm going to try that, thanks!

That's how I like to do it, too.

With the specific, factual questions, I check to see if the correct answer is already there. If so -- and there's nothing worthwhile to add -- I'll skip along.

But with deeper, more meaningful queries, I find it better to plunge right in and offer my original thoughts without coloring them by seeing the answers offered by others.

Of course, I still go back and look at everyone else's answers after posting mine! (And hope that they agree!)

I usually just answer the question to the best of my ability, but then when I read some other answers, I may have to edit something, or add something else to explain what I meant...
I love answering some of these questions, and I love it when someone answers with something intelligent; not just a stupid answer, like " yeah", or "no" or something equally dumb, just for points!

I do that sometimes,
I don't look at other answers, I just give my own awnswer to what I see fit and I do my best to give a good anwser.

once in a while I do see what others had to say but I do put down my own words any way.

I never look at the others answers until i have already posted mine. I like to see who has the same opinion as me and not really to worries about the points.

I sometimes look at the answers, but sometimes I don't.
The main reason I look at the answers is too get an idea that I overthought perhaps or remind me of something I might have forgot.

I rarely look at the other answers before answering the questions, for the reasons you mentionoed above

I wait until after I answer to look at other peoples answers.

Yes, the wording means a lot sometimes.

Yeah I do that. I don't think so much about the change of words, but I'm too lazy to read all responces.
