Or how ever you spell his name. Why does Chavez get repeated air and press time for bashing the President, while the President of Iran gets squat for threatening us on our own soil? Both of these people came into our home, made a mickery of our nation, and we stood there and took it. Why? Because that's what our nation is all about - the ability to do that.
Maybe you like President Bush, maybe you don't. I don't really care, but he IS our President, our Commander in Chief, the most powerful man in the world, and the leader of our free nation. That's got to count for something.

The liberal media seems to believe that if they repeat a lie enough times, it becomes "truth."

There was no threat by either man. just a lot of bad mouthing.
The President of Iran in his prayer brought up his view in the coming of this 12th amon/oman what ever it is...
anyway this person is said to bring about the end of the world and the Pres of Iran has not only been looking forward to it but has done a lot make it happen. building a temple and road lots of other things too... to whole concept is a bit hard for me to follow and maybe why the press didn't get into it.but from what little I do know even his own people are scared he's going to far with this end of the world coming in the next two years thing...
Now Chavez was easy to understand with all the devil and sulfur remarks. that's something even I can figure out. making it prime press stuff...
see name calling is great for a sound bite but that prayer? before we could really understand what it meant we have to be taught a lot about their beliefs! to much for a 30 second spot and frankly I'm not sure I want to learn it...

What you may see developing is a crude form of diplomacy. The Bush people have drawn a line in the sand and the opposition has the right to an opinion. I agree with any President that builds their actions off of sound intelligence. I have stated in earlier postings my fear of Bush attacking Iran but in retrospect I would assume that Israel would do the dirty work . I am amused at the rumors of $1.00 gallon gasoline with in a year. Do you honestly think that it is the oil companies best interest to reduce their gasoline profits after November? I would expect an influx of propaganda to start in mid October thus rising fear just before the holiday season. I would compare it to rumors of an Iraqi withdrawal earlier this year. I hope I am wrong though and gas prices and natural gas prices are cut in half from last year. I don't believe that Bush is a bad person but when it comes to balancing his budget and toying with the constitution he is flawed. The last poll I have seen states that the majority of people in this country feel the same way.

you can"t give these guys any validity. if the free world had to choose i am sure the circus like governments of iran, venezuela, south korea would not be on the list of people to speak to about fairness and reason. WHO CARES ABOUT THE THREATS. THESE JOKERS CANNOT ACT ALONE. they would have to have some type of popular support from the population of their countries. THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is something so unique that most of the world just doesn't get it. we live free, we worship freely, and we actually choose our leaders. this is something so foreign to most people in the world we must seem like aliens. bottom line is that these dictators( broad use ) are just hot air. iran won't even step up to the plate and say " yes, we fully support hezbollah including with finances and weapons" because they know the result would be devastating. all cowards tend to talk a lot when they are out of reach but all that stops when you can put these children in their proper place. has you noticed all the goofballs can barely manage the affairs of their unemployed, poverty ridden countries but they know how to manage world affairs and make it better for all. jokes i tell ya'

Did you notice how the majority of the assembly applauded when Chavez made the "el Diablo" statements. It's high time we drop out of the UN and make that POS organization find a new home. They selected the USA as headquarters for one reason. Protection and tolerance that none of the other world nations can provide. Well, my tolerance just ended and I say we paint a big bull's eye right on the roof of the UN building and hope a Jihadist thinks its the Whitehouse.

The showdown with Iran will happen within a year. It may come in the form of economic sanctions, or military intervention. Either way, expect to pay high prices at the pump when this occurs, as both Iran and Venezuela are likely to turn off the oil spigot.

Well that's a big part of the problem when dealing with these guys, they take full advantage of the fact that we make no effort to show them and what they say for what they are. Chavez said what he said yesterday and all Bolton did was say we won't dignify it with a response, that is precisely part of the problem, everybody only gets what these mainiacs say, and we sit there like we have a sock in our mouthes and say nothing. The reason we keep getting beat over the head by these guys is simple, we let them!!!

The fact is that the UN has many members who are cut from the same cloth as these two vocal opponents of the USA is demonstrated by the great pleasure taken by the members of the body. The UN is a feckless organization that is corrupt. The examples of this corruption are legion. From the oil for food program, to rapes performed by "peacekeepers" (when your body is full of dictators are you surprised?), to sitting by and watching as a Nation is invaded and not even raising an alarm (but protesting when some of them were killed as they allowed Hamas to fire missiles from their front yard)
It is at the point that I call for the disbanding of the UN due to it's corruption and support of dictators that oppress their citizens. The UN is like a spoiled child that insults their parent but still lives off of their money. It's time to spank the child and cut off their money!

What you say is true: Bush is our president and that is precisely the problem. One of the dead giveaways as to Bush's attitude is that he will not even listen to what Ahmadinejad says; Bush thinks he is above all that and only he (Bush) has the right answers to anything and everything. With an attitude like this no wonder we have problems. They key for diplomacy is to listen very carefully in an objective way to every nuance and inflection in an opponent's speech. Chavez was trying to be funny, but I think Lewis Black is better, but at least be tried and did get a few laughs, so you have to give him credit for that. Bush won't even listen. You have to figure out where your adversaries are coming from, and the only way to do that is to listen. Many times things said in public are quite different from things said in private; politics is mostly theater, and Bush puts himself above it all because he talks only to God.
Ahmadinejad said some things that many Americans won't be able to figure out and that make no sense to them because most Americans are ignorant of Middle East history or know only the Israeli/Zionist view. Ahmadinejad made a number of oblique references that were dead on accurate and that would cause consternation and anger in the jewish camp. His perspective is that from a Mid-East player, it is his territory and he knows what he is talking about. George Bush on the other hand, speaks only in vague generalities and does nothing but repeat the position of his jewish handlers, and in this regard is doing a VERY GRAVE DISSERVICE to the American people. Everyone who does not agree with George Bush is labeled a "terrorist", and Bush has made so many stupid remarks about the whole Middle East issue that is it getting embarrassing and painful to watch. Ahmadinejad speaks facts (admittedly with some political rhetoric thrown in, but Bush is far, far worse); George Bush repeats only ignorant opinion from the position of israel. George Bush is the real terrorist, not Ahmadinejad.
The real problem Bush presents to America is that he seems to think that every nation on earth should have a democratic form of government and the citizens of those nations should all have the same freedoms as the citizens of the US, and he, Bush, is bound and determined to shove this on them by force of arms whether they want it or not. Bush is a narrow-minded ego-maniac and the the American people need to recognize that the biggest terrorist danger to the US is none other than George Bush himself.

Because in the USA we have freedom of the press. The president of Iran does have a human right to do his thing in his country. but you can not go around talking about wiping Israel off the map, dude need to just chill. why can USA have wmd's and no one else can? and he is your president not mine. he is the guy that takes the bullet. He is not the most powerful man in the world and our nation is not free because of him. check your history. He is the most powerful bully in the world only because he is rich. He does not realize why he was given the power and what to do with it.
