The Allegheny County region in NY is near the PA border. Pleasant rural area with small towns only. Allegheny, the county seat has a population of just over 8.000, lies along the banks of the Allegheny River and is adjacent to St. Bonaventure University.

There is a town called Milford that is considerably close to NY and it would be cheaper, I think than living in NY
