Our present day troops in Iraq have been turned into policemen.
The war on terror probably never was in my opinion.
I fear for the safety of our our troops in Iraq. They are being placed in harms way each day.
We are trying to force a limited democracy on a nation that is in an internal war of it's own. It took our nation a sizable number of years to adjust and learn. How can we think that we can force peace on a nation in a very short time period.
Send good thoughts and prayers to our troops. They are just doing what they are told is right.
Write your congressmen and senators and ask them this question.

I'm not sure what you are asking but this is a "war of terror", not a "war on terror".
The foreign soldiers/troops are supposed to do as they are commanded, but they have ended up being hated by the people they are pretending to "liberate" because of their arrogance and tactics.
92% of Iraqis want them to leave, 86% are "stongly opposed" to the invasion troops. Considering that it only take 22% of voters to elect a "democratic" government in the UK, they should take the hint and leave. Perhaps they should try and "liberate" the UK as well.

we are in iraq for the same reason we were in vietnam. to help establish a democracy. as in vietnam, a civil war broke out and the end result was a divided country and mass loss of american troops and dollars. this war has nothing to do with the war on terrorism. the only way to help establish a democracy is to first subdue then stabilize as in Japan and germany. obviously, we are not doing that. this is only going to end like vietnam.

Well war on terror YES...But instead of having it in USA they are causing the terror in Iraq..about 150 peaple die in Iraq everyday...there is no such thing as normal life over there.Trust they have the terror.
