Do not attempt the following:

a supersoaker watergun,
a stable mixture thats flamable ( try rubbing alchol)

an electric igniter ( you can buy one where they sell grills, they wear out after a while, and most places sell replacements.

rig it to the trigger so when you pull it, it ignites the alchol.

don't forget to get insurance that covers the damage that is likely to accur to yourself, and others, as well as property.

in fact, I'd say don't attempt this at all.
if you got a flamethrower, and the police are called in, they are gonna shoot you. ( no joke)

Firstly - You have to aquire a few things to make your flame thrower. They are:

Metal Working Skills
Dangerous Goods handling certificate
Extensive Weapons handling skills
Mental Maturity (If you had this you would not want ot build one)
Help and advice from an expert in the above

If all else fails, go to your local mental health centre and ask about being admitted. They will help you!

You can buy a propane weed burner at Most Ace Hardware stores or Tractor Supply.

I use one for weed control..

It's not a "thrower"..

Building a home built thrower is begging for disaster, it's possible, hell anything is possible. You need a tank, jellied gasoline, some way to compress it. then and ignition source and a way to propell it..

Wouldn't you rather BE a flamethrower?

Ingredients:
A bottle of high-potency alcohol
A lighter
A small torch or candle (optional)

Just light it up, and BREATHE FIRE!!! I'm sure you'll be a smashing hit, and no one will mess with you (except maybe a ninja-wizard).

Im not telling you this and anyone who does should be in the mental hospital right along with the guy who posted this...

FTs are really dangerous...I have seen spray cans and all that blow up from using a lighter with them and people would loose their hand.

take up drums, guitar, ,,,,anything other than this.

I do metalworking (welding) and the sparks/heat is enough to keep me away from anything explosive now

I woud say, ask the little old lady on the cover of Prodigy's Firestarter CD, but she was found tangoed and unintelligable in the midst of the ashes that are the remains of her house.

Can of WD-40 kicks a**e. With deodorant only the propellant ignites, WD-40 is petrol based so contents and propellant go up.
Can get a bit lively though

You need a LPG gas bottle, 2 bar regulator, lance, piezo-eletric ignitor and a nozzle that draws in air.

You can buy them off the web for £60

Petrol, secure cylinder. metal hose with adjustable port opening. pump, trigger and bypass canal and value.

Do not try to build this at home as stupidly dangerous. If in doubt go and buy one on line from ext world war 2 memorabilia. I know they do sell them

Take a big mouthful of gasoline (try not to swallow) ignite your lighter close to your mouth, and hurl. Try not to inhale until all fire is safely upon your intended target. Cheapest way I know of.
