One of my computer has been affected with Internet Trojan virus. It reboots the computer automatically within few seconds. Now I unable boot my machine even using a rescue disk as it still reboots. I also tried to format that computer using a bootable Windows XP CD but failed to do so as it still reboots the computer within few seconds which prevent to run the set up from CD. My OS is Windows XP Professional Edition. Please suggest how I can get rid of it.

Dont use more then 1 AntiVirus and spyware software in ur PC.
more u install different AV & spyware they will clash and will slow down ur PC.
Uninstall every thing and just install AVG spyware doctor & system mechanic
It will keep ur system happy and GAY.
To solve trojan problem ..
Run system check using spyware doctor 4.0 (SD) .. it will trace all the trojans .. but b4 fixing them just note down the paths and regs. of the trojan infections that u suspect to be the cause of ur problem.
Then after fixing the decteted problems from the SD, traverse thru the paths and regs and manually remove the folders or regs if in case they r not removed by SD.
Sometimes the folders containing problems could not be deleted by the SD coz they r running at that time .. so for that ..
u can reboot the PC using F8 and using DOS commands remove the folders (u have traced from the SD results) manually.
then reboot it normally.
I tried this and it worked for me ...

unplug the hard disk cable & see still it reboots if it reboots the problem is with power supply unit not with the any internet trojan,

I had that same virus, I had to take it to a professional to clean it up and then installed an antivirus before I even took it home. Cost me over a hundred to fix it.

hello
make sure no internet access is on the pc that has the trojan /.virus on then boot up in safe mode , if it cant boot up with internet acess off that pc ,from safe mode then remove the hard drive and bin it, i have never heard of a hard drive not boot up with no internet access on the pc from safe mode , even if there was 100 trojans on ,you remove the internet access from the pc and the pc will boot up in safe mode
this will fix it
restart the pc ,keep hitting the F8 key
fast till you come to a menu
then move up to safe mode
load up the pc in safe
mode ,
then install
xoftspy and ewido anti spyware
download them on to other pc then burn the 2 download files on to a , cd(r) disc
then install them on to the system with the trojan on from safe mode then run xoftspy frist .read how i say set up xoftspy
then run ewido anti spy ware
then all you do is when the scan is done on the 2 of them is remove the trojan from the pc

I've had this problem and I use Spy Sweeper goto: http://www.webroot.com to remove. Then goto: http://www.pcsecurityshield.com to help prevent another invasion.
