I don't support President Bush and his wars, but I deeply resent open ridicule and disrepect BY FOREIGNERS for our Head of State and our nation on our own shores. When U.N. delegates giggle and applaud when a barbarian, on our own soil, calls our president (whether you like him or not) "The Devil", has a line been crossed? Do you want your tax dollars to continue to support this criminal, anti-American institution?

I, for one, never voted to give the U.N. even one square inch of American soil. Therefore, I consider anything done or said at the U.N. to be on AMERICAN SOIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UN should be dissloved as it is a useless organization, and every country should speak for itself.

That a "leader" (or more appropriately a dictator) can stand on American soil and insult the President of The United States, and have many in this "diplomatic body" applaud and take great pleasure in his comments.

The UN has allowed a "leader" that threatens sovereign Nations to have free standing to make a speech, despite the fact that he has repeatedly "thumbed his nose" at them.

It is time to consider if the UN has done any good in the world in recent history. The examples of UN corruption is legion. From the "oil for food program" to rapes committed by UN "peacekeepers" to sitting by and watching as a Nation is invaded and not even raising an alarm (but protesting when some of them were killed as they allowed Hamas to fire missiles from their front yard)

It may be time to consider if the UN should be disbanded in lieu of another alternative.

Oh, you must be referring to that money pit the United Nothing.

I am generally a Bush fan although I'm not fond of our soldiers being in Iraq. What Chavez said was juvenile and pathetic. The giggles and applauding was just plain sickening. If the U.N. is nothing more than a bunch of juvenile delinquents and ineffective at best at resolving world issues, then it's time to disband it.

The UN is a very useful organization. It allows US to fake an interest into what the world is saying. The truth is that you cannot compromise with corrupt leaders who's decisions will first be based upon their gain, not their country's, and second on what is to the disadvantage of the US. US should use UN as a forum where the world is made aware of what's going to happen, and why.

I seem to remember the US doing the same thing. Remember the "axis of evil" Bush spurted.

The UN is not considered to be US soil.

That said, the UN is a worthless organization. Notice Bush didn't listen to them when he invaded Iraq.

I think it was Bolton who said that the UN was created when there was 2 super powers. Well Russia is not one anymore so why are they still together. Every country needs to speak for themselves, and like me if i don't like you i don't deal with you. You got to admit, Chavez only said what a lot of Americans believe. and he knows they were not going to give his country a seat, and why for 2 years? If your in your in. And "the bush" needs to address what Chavez said about him, but we know he does not care, he may not be the devil, but heck he is close to him. and no on the tax question. I want my tax dollars to help the victims of Katrina, but its helping a war. I want my tax dollars to stop taking care of "the bush"s friend Osama.

Yes, a line has been crossed--a line in the sand. It was the day Bush ignored the rest of the world and invaded Iraq based on faulty intelligence.

Why don't u ask your president who you dislike like anyone on earth not to interfere in others affairs and they would not call him The Devil. Why don't these tax payers use their taxes to make ur government policies which do not hurt others. When your president kills innocent people, you should expect reaction in whatever may be its form

Criminals do crimes when they know they can get away with them. I agree that the UN is useless. The US should get out of the UN. Let the whacko from Venezuela have it if he wants it so bad, in Caracas.

that is way the UN is in New York , not in DC
A host country knows from the beginning that it should pursue full self restraint , as many others will criticize its policies
