Start off simple since this is your first. The pet idea is great. What do you mean "interesting enough"? A scrapbook is memories that you cherish. If you enjoy it then that is all that matters. Your shouldn't be out to impress anyone.

Find an album that you like or go to a thrift store and purchase
an old book. Thw book is a new way to show photos. Another idea would be to purchase an interesting basket and decorate
it and then mount your photos on some pretty scrapbook papers
and stick on some painted craft sticks and add to the decorated basket. Like a floral arrangement with photos. That way you can
use the book for your vacation photos, and the basket for your favorite pet photos. Go to www. duncancrafts.com for more ideas.

Since you have a bunch of pet pics scrapbook those. There is no right or wrong way to scrapbook so be as creative as possible. It's your book so tell the story as you would like.

Anything you love can be made into a scrapbook. I recently started one about crafts I've done. For some inspiration, try twopeasinabucket.com. There's a lot of great layouts on there that might help.

Just remember.......pictures are moments captured...once they are in a scrapbook with backgrounds, little poems, co-ordinating words about the picture....that picture then stands out more than you can imagine...and you even see things which are more interesting...dont give up on using your holiday pictures.

Animals/pets are a good theme to do as well......get background papers of dog bones, doggie/cat toys/ that will go with your pet.and once again use words or write about there little habits...

Sorry to go on but I hope you find some of the information useful.

If you go onto scrapbookscrapbook.com you will be able to download loads of free background papers...about pets, holidays, school, whatever.

good luck.
