Imagine your local observatory would sell stars. You can come, look in the skies, pick one star, name it and then get an ownership certificate. Would you buy one? If so, why? What need would it serve you? : )

Hey Ale,

Sure I would!

Can you think of a more romantic gift for the person that has everything?

Imagine, it's your anniversary and you are with the person that you love. "Baby, I told you when I married you that the sky was the limit - Well, because of you, I feel I've gone beyond that! For you, my love - A Star !"

I know CORNY! But I like the style!

Great Question!

I would never buy a star!

It's the mystery of the unknown that's so charming about the universe and all magic would be lost if you could put a stupid certificate or whatever on a star.

Just knowing you own a part of the heavens should be enough of a reason. But mainly, because the value of property always goes up,and if you ever decided to sell in a couple of eras, you'd make a big profit.

I won't buy a star. After all, it is going to stay there. What is the point?

You actually can buy a star - but you don't choose it. They send you the coordinates, and it's "heavenly" name...I was given one as a gift for my 30th Birthday!!

This is a good question....

I do think I would....simply for my kids....that way, when I am gone they will have something of mine that is there for them...granted it can only be seen at night....BUT.... I just think it would be something beautiful to leave behind for my kids
