OK this topic is quite interesting because it doesn't only have to do with your skin color but also many other factors that can effect you choosing the right dress color.
If you look at cover girls with the same skin tone, you will realize that they go for white, off white colors, because it gives a fresh lighter look to your skin.
Stay away from dark brown, Yellow, orange and green .It is not only that they will make you fashion outdated but will expose your skin into a degree that every tiny skin rash will show.
If you like a specific color for instance black, try to break it with a white top or blend of light shades.
The make up also plays a factor when you choose the right color, so keep in mind to use skin color lipsticks and shades of light brown on for the eye shadow.

properly you could attempt all the colors.. fantastically the darker tones will look solid; yet make confident u do not get into some thing too darkish and too uninteresting... greys are a no no.. stay faraway from those uninteresting blues.. u can continually bypass for the lively colorations such as the reds yet hey make confident u decide on a diffused pink colour ;pinks(ward off those fluroscent pinks or the toddler pink); the sea eco-friendly and the sea blue colorations look solid interior the day time ; or maybe a efficient orange .. hey i do not advise "firey orange"; attempt the efficient orange.. n in lip stick once back bypass for darkish colorations .. the browns are acceptable.. n hey ur blessed to have a dusky complexion.. u understand make up truly seems the acceptable on darker epidermis tones.. see the necessary idea is do not ever positioned on an fairly loud colour or loud make up...fantastically in the course of the day time.. in spite of u positioned on team up with solid upload-ons... and do not u forget the footwears.. carry all of it with a kind and a grin.. n positioned on in spite of u r maximum smooth in..and what makes u satisfied..positioned on ur mood ..positioned on ur attitude.. n undergo in ideas at the same time as u sense like a princess ..u look like a princess and u'll be dealt with like one too.. so satisfied dressing;-)

as you said, your skin is dark but not black.
so, you can wear any colour you like, because all the colours go with dark skin.
in my opinion, i would say that you would look the best in white and pink.

Light blue, pink, and all pastal colors.
Avoid plane colors. Small paterns, dots, will suite you.
