You need to speak with a doctor. Exercise to relax - air out the house to get rid of the smoke smell and your car. Go for a walk. Take good vitamins especially B complex as they help relax the body which is what nicotine substitutes for as it as a B complex shape. Eat a good diet lots of water good fresh fruit and vegetables. Be careful with patches they can be dangerous any type of medication can be are you having help from a professional clinic I wish they had been around when I quit they know lots of things to help I have spoken with a man who ran a smoking cessation clinic as part of his pratise. See your doctor read up on it be sure what you are doing is safe. I agree possibly your patch is a bit strong for you also or weak need to check and read it is a medicine so be very careful even if it is over the counter Nicotine is poisonous people can be poisoned to death with it. Be sure to remove the old ones before putting a new one on. A man who had a path for some medicine finally came back to the doctor and said I cannot take my medicine anymore the doctor said it is a patch why are you having problems. So he took off his clothing and said I have no where else to put it so the doctor after that put in the instructions remove old patch before applying new one. That is a true story so I was told.

Natural Quit Smoking Magic

I was smoking 3 packs a day and quit cold turkey maybe 10-12 years ago. The first two months were the roughest. I still think I want a smoke once in a while. Then I smell one and know the damn things stink and just smelling it turns my stomach. Hang in there. You have to be stronger than the craving. When it gets bad, if your able, go for a walk, jog, run then drink plenty of water. Just get over the hump without giving in. Cravings peak, then level out. When I stopped smoking I was coughing up blood. Today my chest exrays look fine. Remember the damn things are 1) killing you 2) killing anyone you smoke around. 3) expensive

I quit 8 months ago and had that too. The first three days are the wrsot, then the first 3 weeks. After that you crave but its not all consuming and the other side effects, like lack of concentration, irritability, insomnia, etc pass.

How long ago did you quit? If its really affecting you go see your Doc to rule out any reactions to the meds, but it should pass on its own as a natural effect, I believe.

Congrats on quitting and best of luck to you!!

Ive never heard of that happening before, I think you're best off stoping with them. It sounds like you are experiencing a 'nicotine rush' which means that you are getting a higher dose of nicotine than when you were smoking.

Try a lower strength patch, sounds like maybe the dose is too high. Look up symptoms of nicotiene intoxication/overdose.

It shouldn't happen at all. Contact your local stop smoking cessation clinic,( your G.P.s surgery can give you the number) they can advise you.
