Hi, here's a link to a guide that explains fitting a CD burner, the instructions will work fine for DVD-Writer too, you can pick up a good DVD Writer for about 25 quid nowadays, try www.scan.co.uk - make sure your writer is IDE compatible, thats the cable it uses.

It's simple to do and its easy enough to do it yourself honestly.

Hi... yes if the game is in DVD, you will require a DVD ROM to read it. It should just cost around equivalent of 25-35$ to buy a new one and put it into your PC. Your motherboard should support mulitple or atleast 2 players, else you might not be able to connect your existing CDROM.

We just got a dvd/cd burner drive from Best Buy, it was Pioneer, only like $40. It works great. They're really easy to install. The instructions come in the box, and it can be programmed for region codes. I don't know if they have Best Buys in the UK, but maybe you can buy it online.
Good luck!

Its pretty starightforward and easy. My cousin doesn't know much about computers and he got it right without anyone's help. Well I'm from Australia and a pretty good DVD drive costs me around $100.
