The King, beloved by his people, supported a coup to oust a corrupt Prime Minister while the PM was out of country so there would be little resistance and no violence.
A bloodless coup... that went off perfectly with no injuries. And because the King publicly supported the General the people will support him.
They took a lesson from "Insurgency 101" and blocked CNN and BBC because controllling the media is essential in a coup like this. Without the media to tip off the opposition by broadcasting live from the streets of Bangkok, the coup proceeded flawlessly and without resistance.

The King is a sick old man who does as he is told.
The guys in charge now were originally appointed by Thaksin.
Thai ppl couldn't be bothered to vote back in April eventhough they would not stop complaing about Thaksin.
Some need to educate the Thais on what Democracy is all about. Obviously all the farang (white teachers) in Thailand are not too versed on the subject either!

Didn't you hear the news the president sold a national asset took the money for himself then did not pay taxes then came to the US to get away with the money. Sounds like the Phillipines and the former ruler of Iran garbage to me again. Yes they are our friends because the corrupt leaders have come here with money.

Those actions are not the action of the King.
Those actions are the action of the military, over whom the King has no control.

Democracy in action. Like Jefferson said, "A revolution, every now and then, is a good thing."
