Have you been given an assignment to write an essay on this topic?
All the generations are the same. Character, intelligence, customs, etc. change with time, but who can say what is better or worse. No one has the ability to evaluate all that objectively.
Human nature doesn't change, only some characteristics show more or less.

Present generation was born in "Post Lunar Landing", "Post Internet /Information"and " Post "Satellite Communication" age.....
Character, Ethics, Customs and Relationships, more or less, are not affected, they are first nature to a person.
It leaves Intelligence and Skills.
This two are both learned/acquired and native/first nature to a person.
The native or the natural/nature of the person does not change much, as a rule.
It is the acquired part of a person is affected by the surroundings.
So if the surrounding can change, it is affected, this effect can be good or bad.
Taking in to consideration the last statement, I say nothing really changes much.
Only the acquisition of knowledge is much easier to day then yesterday.
You can take a horse to the water trough but you cannot make him drink the water from the water trough.

I don't think so. Although this generation may be more open minded and tolerable of some things, our culture and society is becoming spoiled, lazy and apathetic. There isn't much interest in what is going on in the world or even our own country. I see so many people who can't understand that existence DOES NOT revolve around them. This country was built by hard working courageous people who were willing to sacrifice everything for freedom. (lets not forget the native americans, and african slaves) Now that freedom is being slowly taken away, yet people are more interested in paris hilton, and the newest cellphone feature than to stand up against Any and All forms of terrorism, not just foreign but domestic as well.

There is more dishonesty, lesser intelligence, reduced ethics, and PATHETIC morals!!! divorces abound! Cheating is now almost standard. **** is now a major industry! Ppl kill each other, and even kids, on a regular basis with the FLIMSIEST excuses! Our judicial system is a MESS!! No. this generation is def WORSE than prior ones. No question! If no one bought any drugs, there wud BE no "drug industry"!!! And look at all the wars! Islamics are killing each other, and anyone else too! So, insanity reigns!! Our parents were better off. They didnt lock their doors fairly often!

yes, i too feel but it doesn't mean earlier generation is worse it's only that comparatively
there is a change or difference which we can see naked eyes b/w to generations.
particularly, skills , ethics, intelligence it's their
hard work and they give us chance to develop us as they cannot do due to inconveniency so they provide us scopes.
e.g. mother is good at drawing but she doesn't have time or money or scope , when she has her own child she will do anything to make her child great painter , similarly in all the fields, u mentioned above, parents push , insist us, and their seeds one day become tree.
Routs are always beneath the land so we all are trees and our next generation have juicy fruits to eat .

i believe that the present generation is better than the earlier ones. the people of this generation are more understanding, mostly because they are so selfish, that they do not bother too much about others and therefore they do not butt in so much into someone else's business. of course we are more intelligent. we are constantly coming up with better ideas of living, and to some extent also correcting what the earlier generations did wrong. we have acquired better skills from the past and also by advancement. our customs are more comfort related and more logical which is better to live with. we are freer in relationships. today's generation is not bound by any relationships. it gives them time for themselves.

Well... it seems that the brain of a modern human being is bigger than the brain of an earlier in history... In fact, it seems that it grows with every generation. But I don't know about intelligence. My personal opinion is that the intelligence of the modern human is at it's peak, as more and more complex tasks are left in the "hands" of the computers.

When the ""earlier generations"" were the ''present - generation'', Then at that time , they too thought that they were better than their earlier generation ......Its like a wheel ---- no end --- it just keeps going round & ruond. Every subsequent generation thinks that they are better than the previous one .
