I started a business up , back in February of this year.
I didn't go to a bank or get a loan because I thought the interest charges would have done for me in the first year.
So, I managed to raise the lot via my family. Its the best option asfar as i can tell. Very little interest wanted, if any.
No threatening letters. And biggest advantage is peace of mind that you are not hocked up to the eyeballs before you get off the ground.
I arranged to pay back £100 per month if and when the profit margin would allow. A very generous offer as the borrowed amount was thousands....But that's family for you.

depends.......

if u are new to business and dont have a business plan or anythig, then first try your own savings and tehn immediate family.

then there is credit card, your banker (you can take a personal loan) etc. etc.

if u hav a business plan then you can try seed capital investors, venture capitalists, angel investors, private equity etc.
You have to clearly explain to them about ur biz model and do some presentations etc. to convince them, and you might end up getting some sponsors.
